Following the most wonderful concert featuring Chorus of Dissent, National Youth Choir of Antigua and Barbuda and the Elastic Band which was the most perfect example of cross-cultural musical collaboration, Ruth was delighted to receive this letter from Her Excellency the High Commissioner of Antigua and Barbuda Ms Karen-Mae Hill (pictured second from left) who guest conducted at the concert.
“On behalf of the Antigua and Barbuda National Youth Choir and the High Commission of Antigua and Barbuda, please accept my overflowing thanks for your generous support of the Choir’s inaugural tour of England. The concert at St. Matthias was the unparalleled highlight of the tour and was made possible by your vision, commitment and passion. Not only did the voices blend harmoniously through the halls of the Church, but the orchestra was first class. Every detail was appreciated to include the wonderful high tea and post-concert feast. We are looking forward to the concert video immensely.
“I am happy that the link between the National Youth Choir, the ABYSO and the Chorus of Dissent is strengthening, and I hope this bond is a long lasting one. Antigua and Barbuda has found in you a true friend and faithful partner. Please extend our thanks to all the members of the Chorus of Dissent and the Elastic Band for favouring us with their goodwill, smiles and talent.
“The joint concert was a resounding success and an evening we will never forget. It is my pleasure and privilege to continue providing opportunities for young people to enhance their musical abilities and I look forward to continued support from you and your group with future collaborations.”
