We are delighted to announce Chorus of Dissent and the Elastic band’s autumn concert – 1918 – where we are marking three important centenaries with music.
We are performing Vaughan Williams’ poignant Dona Nobis Pacem to commemorate the end of the First World War, Bernstein’s exuberant Chichester Psalms to celebrate the centenary of his birth, and excerpts from Holst’s Planets Suite performed in a way you have never heard before to mark 100 years since its first performance.
Featuring an especially enhanced Elastic Band with a veritable battery of percussion, this unmissable event is only £10 for early bird online tickets, until 5pm, Friday 5 October. Otherwise, tickets on the door £15, cash only.
We are thrilled to be welcoming the Speaker of Hackney Cllr Clare Potter who will be attending.
Doors open 5pm, concert 5.30pm.
