Clara Sanabras in Concert
Saturday 6th June, 5.30pm, St Matthias Church
After going down a storm at Stokey Litfest in 2014, they have invited us back again. We are absolutely thrilled to announce another collaboration with the staggeringly talented composer and singer Clara Sanabras. We will be performing songs from her latest album El Vol Dispers – Songs of Spanish Exile and also A Hum About Mine Ears, inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, which we were honoured to premiere last year and will also be recording professionally with the Britten Sinfonia in July. These will be conducted by Harvey Brough, and Ruth Whitehead will conduct Cantique de Jean Racine by Fauré.
We are looking forward to welcoming the Litfest audience to our our new home at the beautiful Grade I listed St Matthias Church (entrance in Wordsworth Road) with its incredible acoustic (just a stone’s throw from Church Street).
