Come and make merry at Chorus of Dissent and the Elastic Band’s fine festive feast on
Sunday 19 December 2021, 5.30pm, at the magnificent St Matthias Church, Wordsworth Road, London N16 8DD.
We weren’t able to perform a Christmas concert for our community last year, therefore we are doubly delighted to be singing for you by candlelight this year.
Expect all the usual delights of a Dissenters’ Christmas event, expect a surprise, and expect to be singing along with us. Christmas isn’t Christmas without Chorus of Dissent.

IMPORTANT Keeping everyone safe.
Venues have been left to form their own COVID policies with very little guidance. Our conditions of entry are designed with utmost consideration for the safety of everyone: audience, performers and staff. We would like all present to be able to relax and enjoy our event, once inside.
Therefore we require confirmation of your COVID status as a condition of entry (this also applies to performers and staff at rehearsals)
On the door we require
- Evidence of full vaccination (first and second jabs) with the second administered at least 14 days before the concert. You will need an NHS Covid pass / Covid letter. May we suggest that a print-out may be more reliable than the NHS app on your phone.
AND
- VERBAL confirmation of a negative lateral flow test less than 48 hours before the concert. You will be asked to prove that your negative result was registered on the NHS website – click here for how to do it. DO NOT bring the test.
We may also be checking temperatures.
If you are clinically exempt from providing your status, please bring an NHS exemption pass.
Please make sure in advance that you can demonstrate your Covid status and bring any necessary documents with you. Do get there in good time so everyone gets seated before 5.30pm. It does take longer to check and admit everyone, so if there’s a queue please stand apart from others and treat our door staff with respect.
The church will be well-ventilated, so you may need to keep coats on.
Please be aware that failure to provide details of your Covid-19 status will result in your being refused entry without a refund.
We thank you for your consideration towards others.
Do not attend if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 or suspect you may have been in contact with anyone who has. If government guidelines change, we reserve the right to change our entry advice / requirements accordingly – please keep checking back here for any updates before the event.
