STOP PRESS STOP PRESS Our Concert for Kyiv raised £3,000 to support the Ukrainian Institute in their tireless work with refugees, supporting the humanitarian effort in the country and independent news reporting from the ground. We also raised a further £1,600 from generous performers and the audience towards the multi-media musical DissentersN16 are funding with St Matthias School, to be staged at St Matthias Church on June 30.
Chorus of Dissent always responds rapidly to world events, presenting fundraiser concerts to support people in need.
For our spring concert and as part of our 10th anniversary year, we are joined by singers from across London to perform Faure Requiem, Verdi’s Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, plus a unique choral and orchestral arrangement of the Great Gate of Kyiv from Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
All proceeds will go to the Ukrainian Institute which is working tirelessly to help Ukraine and Ukrainians.
Channel your rage, horror and despair at what you see on the news into making a small but heartfelt positive difference and joining us at our concert.
Local financial advisers Ruth Whitehead Associates will sponsor the orchestra and other costs, so all proceeds from the event can be donated.
Disabled access and toilets. We request that you take a lateral flow test before attending, and strongly recommend you wear a mask at the concert.
