National Youth Choir of Antigua and Barbuda, St Matthias Church, Stoke Newington
Concert tickets £11 – click here or £15 cash only on the door. U15s free
A most marvellous opportunity to hear this fine choir of young voices who perform entirely from memory. This is their first UK tour, and we are honoured that they will be performing with us.
The programme will include Verdi Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, Puccini Nessun Dorma, Zschech Worthy is the Lamb and Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.
The concert will be performed in the presence of H.E. Sir Rodney Williams, Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, and Lady Williams, and H.E. the High Commissioner Ms Karen-Mae Hill.
You are most welcome to join everyone at a Caribbean supper and bar (pay cash) afterwards, hosted by Yvonne and her friends from the congregation of St Matthias Church.
Concert tickets £11 or £15 cash only on the door. U15s free
The National Youth Choir of Antigua and Barbuda was established in 2004 and is led by choir director Renée Smith. They formed as part of an initiative to bring together young people from across Antigua and Barbuda with an avid interest in music, especially singing. The choir’s repertoire ranges from classical, gospel, negro spirituals, Broadway music, folk, calypso, soca, reggae and pop.
