On Sunday May 11th 2025, St Matthias Church will be celebrating 172 years of Christian worship with its annual Patronal Festival. The afternoon starts at 2.30pm with a garden party in the church garden with bunting and barbeque (weather permitting) then from 5pm the Patronal Mass with special guest and preacher the Rt Rev Joanne Grenfell Bishop of Stepney alongside our very own Chorus of Dissent and members of the Elastic Band who will be performing the Easter Hymn from Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana during the Mass. Please come along to this free, local, community event, where everyone is welcome.
