On Sunday 28 June, we’re heading back in time to the golden age of swing as we open up St Matthias Hall for a Tea Dance with cakes by Daffodil Soup London, big band classics and a taster swing dance class.
The scene will be set by live swing band Minnie & The Moochers who play a nostalgic mix of jazz & swing from the 1940s including songs made famous by Duke Ellington, Dinah Washington and Peggy Lee. The band is led by Dave Piggott on guitar, with a vocalist, saxophone, bass and drums. This band are hot on the swing-dance scene so join us for an afternoon of Lindy Hop, Balboa, Swing and jump-blues at its best.
